Australia Day Swim

Join us for one of Victoria’s best open water swims, the 22nd annual Australia Day Swim on 26th January 2012, in historic and picturesque Williamstown.

The event attracts many swimmers in age groups from Junior (12-17 years), Open (18-29 years), Seniors (30-39 years), Masters (40-49 years), Veterans (50-59 years), Veterans Plus (60 years and over) and past winners include some of the greats of Australian swimming. There is also a Nipper event for juniors, a 250m swim (U8, U10) and a 500m swim (U10, U12, U14).

Registration for the Williamstown Swim is in the Club’s hall from 8:00am until 20 minutes prior to race start time.

This year we have a new 5 x 1km corporate team swim at 9am proudly sponsored by the Stonehenge Group, limited to just 50 teams. Registrations taken online up until 5pm Australia Day eve.

Proceeds raised from the swim go to the Williamstown Swimming and Life Saving Club for training, rescue equipment and education resources for the Nippers, Cadets and Lifeguards to keep our beaches safe.
